WE BELIEVE:

*The Holy Spirit worked with the Father and the Son to create the world. The Father gave His Spirit to make us like His Son, Jesus Christ. The Jesus Christ we know is Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. He made a wonderful promise in John 14:16-17: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever — the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”The Holy Spirit is to be with us forever. He is not known or received by everyone, but only by those who are prepared for Him. The Holy Spirit shows us how wrong our sins are. He helps us to accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour. He completely changes our lives. This is called being converted or born again.

*Jesus Christ is a soul-winner. That is what He came for, lived for, died for and rose again for. He came to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. As to His human nature, Jesus Christ was a descendant of David. As to His divine nature, He was shown with great power to be the Son of God by being raised from death on the third day. Now He sits at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2; Romans 1:2-4). He was at all points tempted just as we are, yet was without sin. Jesus Christ loves us, died for us, reigns in power for us and still prays for us.

*Holy men of God were carried along by the Holy Spirit as they spoke the message that came from God. The Holy Bible is more than long-ago events and ancient wisdom. It is God’s message of grace and truth to us today (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).

*God’s Word refreshes our minds while God’s Spirit renews our strength. To be born again, not only must we have God’s Word but also His Spirit, mixed with repentance and faith in our hearts.

*Divine healing is the supernatural power of God bringing health to the human body. It is received by faith in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. All the punishment Jesus Christ received before and during His crucifixion was for our healing – spirit, soul and body. By His stripes, we are healed. Divine healing was included in the benefits that Jesus Christ bought for us at Calvary.

*Water baptism and baptism in the Holy Spirit. We also believe in speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4). All who enter into the number of the body of Christ do so because they are baptized in the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 8:9). When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, God’s power will come upon you as it did on the first disciples on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). When God’s power comes upon you, the Holy Spirit will affect everything about you. Judicial scandal: T.B Joshua, SCOAN sympathizes with Ajet Nasam

Leaders of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) have mounted a strong defense for the Church’s inaction on the judicial corruption scandal involving one of its members.

Justice Ajet Nasam, who is an active member of the church founded by Prophet T. B Joshua, is one of several judges suspended for taking bribes.

The church, has however, been quiet since the scandal broke.

Commenting on the development for the first time, leader of the SCOAN in Ghana Samuel Kwame Sackey told the media in Accra that the disgraced judge is just as fallible as any other human being.

“Human beings as we are, no one is perfect that is why we attend churches. We are being preached to do the right thing but somewhere along the line, you fall.

“He (Ajet) is an individual member, and I can’t speak on his behalf. It’s not as if the church doesn’t see anything wrong with what has happened; the church teaches people to do the right thing,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Church Thursday donated three pickup vehicles, 20 motorbikes and 100 pieces of reflector jackets to the Ghana Police Service.

Consequently, Evangelist Annette, in her message titled FLIRTING WITH OTHER GODS summed up the vanity of chasing and mingling with entities which seem to take the place of God in our lives. It could be money, fame, beauty, education or even pride. Her deep message captured the universality of God’s supremacy over all His creation and His propensity to get jealous of our infidelity in His marriage with us. She stated, “As Christians, the Bible warns us against flirting with other gods because as the children of Israel demonstrated in the Old Testament, flirting leads not only to immorality and unfaithfulness but also causes jealousy on the part of our God and the Book of Exodus 20:5 tells us that our God is a jealous God. In marital relationships, husbands and wives have a key responsibility to remain faithful to each other; likewise as Christians, we have a key responsibility to remain faithful to God”

ESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO SOUTH AFRICA FROM THE SYNAGOGUE, CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS

With our heart-felt condolences, we at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations reach out to the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa, most especially to the families, friends and loved ones of the departed souls who lost their lives in the tragic incident on Friday September 12, 2014. Our prayer for you is that God’s presence in your hearts and lives would more than supply their absence. We need no more to make us strong than to have Christ’s presence with our spirits.

He is with us by His grace, which is the good will of God towards us, enlightening and enlivening us, sufficient to strengthen and comfort us, to support our soul and cheer up our spirit in all affliction and distress.

We at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations believe that when the believer dies, he is delivered out of trouble. The believer’s conflict has come to an end; he is done forever with the trouble, sin and temptation of this world and goes into glory. He at last rests in the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, death to believers is not a period – it is only a comma. They do not cease to be but are only removed from one world to another. Death to a believer, therefore, is his release from the imprisonment of this world and his departure to the enjoyment of another world. Those who are born from above long to be there.

The highway to Heaven starts from this side of death and the entrance is very easy to find because the Bible says whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Those who lost their lives in the incident died not in vain; they died martyrs of the Kingdom of God. As the Psalmist reflects, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints. (Psalm 116:15)

It is sorrowful indeed that we have our people from South Africa among the affected. South Africa has long been a true friend of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations – a partner in faith and in prayer. We are a part of the same body – the body of Christ – by the same Spirit and so, there can be no division in the body. We are one by Christ’s love. What can separate us from the love of Christ? “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

This tragedy will not and must not be allowed to waiver or affect our mutual relationship and the trust that has been established over many years. We continue to pray for the Government of South Africa and its citizens, especially the relations of the affected – for nothing makes us love a person as much as praying for them. There is no doubt that the rescue operation, medical treatment for survivors and other incidental matters came at a huge expense but this is immaterial compared to the lives affected by this tragic incident.

We wish to expressly thank President Jacob Zuma for his compassionate leadership on this issue and his emphasis on the care of the families of the departed. The South African High Commissioner to Nigeria Lulu Louis Mnguni, Consul General Mokgethi Monaisa and their team have greatly assisted us in these trying times and we cherish their friendship and support. Equally, we wish to thank the dear people of South Africa for their earnest concern and prayers.

May these moments prompt us to live each day as if it were our last for when we are prepared to die, we are prepared to live.

Our prayer for you remains the same – that your faith in Christ Jesus should not fail. Though there may be reason to be troubled, Jesus said there are greater reasons not to be (John 16:33). Let us remember God’s everlasting promise to comfort all who mourn, provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3). STATEMENT FROM THE SYNAGOGUE, CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS IN RESPECT OF THE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2014 INCIDENT.

Emmanuel – God is with us.
The pain of one is the pain of all. It is indeed a sad and painful moment for the families and friends who have lost loved ones. It is equally so for us in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (The SCOAN), under the leadership of Prophet T.B. Joshua.
On Friday, September 12, 2014, at about 12:44pm, one of the buildings on The SCOAN property unexpectedly collapsed, tragically resulting in death and injury. Nigerians, South Africans and citizens of other nations were affected. This incident was preceded by the appearance of a strange aircraft which flew very low over the building, four times and then disappeared.

Since the day of this incident, The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, its members and partners, have worked in collaboration with the Nigerian, South African and other nations’ authorities to ensure that survivors are rescued, attended to with the best medical treatment, cared for in the most humane and hospitable manner and reunited with their families, while those who passed on – martyrs of the Kingdom of God – are retrieved, identified and treated respectfully.

Amongst those we are working hand-in-hand with, are: The Federal Government of Nigeria, the Government of the Republic of South Africa, Lagos State Government, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Lagos State Ministry of Health – doctors and nurses, the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), the Red Cross, the Nigeria Police Force and various Non-governmental and humanitarian organisations and construction and engineering corporations.

It is very sad that inaccurate reports are coming from some quarters that we are not cooperating with the rescue teams and other agencies in collating information and providing assistance on the incident. Contrary to this, we want to categorically state that the church has provided assistance when and where required and continues to do so – good Christians are good citizens.

We emphasise our commitment to cooperate with all relevant authorities in establishing the cause of the collapse of the building.

The church views this tragedy as part of an attack on The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations and in particular, Prophet T.B. Joshua. In due course, God will reveal the perpetrators of this unfortunate tragedy.

We wish to express our gratitude to all who continue to work tirelessly, show their solidarity and share their condolences in this grievous time, particularly all Government and non-Governmental bodies mentioned above, Diplomatic Missions, National and International media houses, society groups, traditional rulers, all concerned citizens and the residents of our local community, Ikotun-Egbe. We equally appreciate all members and partners of The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV, along with Christians and clergy worldwide for their prayers and support.

To all those who lost family members and loved ones, please accept our heart-felt commiserations. No one knows by the present sign or situation what the future holds.
